PROCEDURE
1. SET NO. 1 CYLINDER TO TDC/COMPRESSION
2. INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR BOLT
NOTICE:
There are different types of camshaft timing gearbolts. Make sure to check the identification mark todetermine the tightening torque.

(a) Apply engine oil to the areas of the camshaft timing gear bolt shown in the illustration. |

(b) Temporarily install the camshaft timing gear bolt.
Torque:
10 NВ·m {102 kgfВ·cm, 7 ftВ·lbf}
HINT:
Make sure that the flange part of the camshaft timing gear bolt is directly contacting the camshaft timing gear assembly.
(c) Loosen the camshaft timing gear bolt 60 to 180В°.
(d) Turn the crankshaft pulley assembly clockwise approximately 30 to 90В°.
(e) Using SST, hold the crankshaft pulley assembly. SST: 09213-54015 91651-60855 SST: 09330-00021 |

(f) Tighten the camshaft timing gear bolt.
Torque:
for Type A :
120 NВ·m {1224 kgfВ·cm, 89 ftВ·lbf}
for Type B :
95 NВ·m {969 kgfВ·cm, 70 ftВ·lbf}

Back window (vehicles with sliding type)
The back window can be opened and closed using the lock release lever.
Open/close
Push the lock release lever and slide the back window.
■Closing the back window
Make sure that the back window is securely closed after closing it.
